Would no doubt work better with steel wheels or alloys where the valve hole is not «countersunk» or deep seated in the wheel. The hooked part bent several times while changing the valves on two wheels, and the plastic tube to compress the valve was too large to fully fit in the hole. I made it work by using a capped off piece of a silicon tube.

Simple and Effective, not to mention Quick!

Save yourself a trip to your local Tire shop and or save yourself an awkward road-side delay with this very simple tool that no Trailering/RV essentials toolkit should be without. Swap a faulty Valve stem in a couple of minutes without removing the wheel and be on your way. If you travel with any kind of mini/portable air compressor, and/or tire puncture repair plugs, this tool will complete all your future self-sufficient capabilities for a cost that is almost pennies compared to the time/cost expense of a one-time shop repair. The three items in this kit are very sturdy and both the hook and the funnel can be repurposed for other jobs in any traveling tool set.

From my research this is the best such tool on the market and it did the job without too much trouble but: It doesn’t have ANY instructions. Even the Laser Tools website doesn’t have any guidance — how lazy is that? Also, it needs a fair bit of force and when the valve goes in, the insertion tool shoots down the cone and the cone takes the skin off your thumb. A guard on the tool would stop this happening. Take care when using.
